Roasted Raver Mix
06 August, 2008 Filed in: NeuroNaut
San Francisco’s False Profit collective have built up quite a reputation for excellence in and around the bay area. One of their most successful events is the Priceless campout, which serves up a mid-summer’s weekend getaway loaded with great music and great people in a wonderful outdoor setting. Unfortunately, a series of wildfires raging through Northern California forced an 11th hour cancellation of the event. NeuroNaut turned things around immediately with his Roasted Raver mix, intended as a 4th of July weekend soundtrack, regardless of the adventure.NeuroNaut explores the synaptic responses of the human cortex via sonic frequency manipulation. This often takes the form of hardware and software Live PA or multimedia extravaganzas. His shows in the US and Europe evoke feeling, create atmospheres, and often leave audiences inspired.

Cattywampus
15 June, 2008 Filed in: Flook
Originally posted in December, it has been remastered and re-posted for your listening pleasure. One of the unsung heroes of Yellow No. 5, Flook spends a lot of time working behind the scenes to make a great event happen and is the first to take the very early or really late set so that other artists can have a better timeslot. Those fortunate enough to be able to catch him are in for a treat, taking in the eclectic blend of styles he describes as 'telektrohouse.'Click to listen

Reboot
14 June, 2008 Filed in: Trilo
In the cover image, a dust devil on the surface of Mars can be seen in the distance. While a high-speed whirlwind of dust and sand is normally considered to be dangerous and NASA mission controllers thought it would be the end of the rover. Instead of destruction, the dust devil served to reboot the rover by blowing weeks of accumulated dust off of the rover’s solar panels.Recorded in May before starting on the new website, Trilo marks the reboot of Electric Theatre with this energetic mix. It comes on like a sonic dust devil and bounces and swirls around relentlessly for more than an hour.

BOT

If robots took over the world, enslaved all of humanity, and then threw a big party to celebrate - this mix is likely what they would play. It's got some of the best of what electronic dance music has to offer - glitchy electro breakbeats to both fire the neurons and rewire both your central nervous system and your stereo.Click to listen

Phoenix
21 December, 2005 Filed in: Trilo
After a few practice runs this mix came together fairly easily in December 2005. Prior to recording this set, Trilo had been either playing great sets only to have neglected to hit record, or remembering the record button only to spend the next few hours playing a bunch of crap. This set finally broke that cycle.Click to listen
