Love And Dust
08 February, 2007 Filed in: Smoove
Recorded with Burning Man and Love Fest in mind, Smoove crafted the sexy, funky Love And Dust set in the fall of 2006.Described by some as "your girlfriend's favorite DJ," Smoove has made a name for himself as one of the best breaks DJ's on the west coast. Based in San Francisco, he's made NiteVibe's annual DJ Dream Team top ten list for three years running in the bay area. He's played to crowds in venues ranging from dodgy warehouses, parties in the desert, and clubs of all shapes and sizes. Regardless of the venue or the size of the crowd, one thing is certain - Smoove will have people on their feet.

Funky See Funky Do
05 February, 2007 Filed in: Friction
Originally created for San Francisco Love Fest 2006, Friction shows extraordinary skills with this fun, funky, energetic set.Born in Stockholm, Sweden while his parents were on tour, Friction was immediately submersed into the world of music. On stage in front of an audience of 10,000 by age four, playing guitar by the age of twelve, and opening for bands like Cake and the Deftones by nineteen, music has always been his obsession. Inspired by the music and performance of Bassnectar, Friction took to the decks as new instruments and soon found himself dropping beats and playing venues from small clubs and street fairs to giant festivals. He's played alongside a wide range of artists, including Rennie Pilgrim, Lawgiverz, Bass Kittens, Eskmo, Bil Bless (aka SOTEG/The Disciple Grin), Autobots, Oscure, FreQ Nasty, and Bassnectar among many other amazing talents. With the help of Y no. 5 (which he co-founded) and others in the community, Friction brought the post-apocalyptic Purgatory Cruiser to festivals such as San Francisco Love Parade/Love Fest and the Burning Man arts festival in the Nevada desert.
